Bought used for $13,000 w/25000 miles. Great Deal and need a car. Bought from dealership. From get-go have so far spend $7800 for repairs, to pass state inspection spent $2000 in June. Now it's 3 months later, oil pressure low still a problem and dealership says need new engine for $4900. "How did it pass inspection", I was was told it was a piston problem with the oil and unless engine was taken apart, there was no way to know. I have had this car in at least 6 times for low oil pressure---does anyone hear lemon law???? Must be a recall somewhere with all these low oil pressure complaints. Is VW listening. Probably will not by a VW again and suggest you don't either!

Apparently when i bought this car, they new about a bad bearing but didn't let me know about it. there is also a rear main seal leak that causes me to have to add oil in between oil changes. vw recommends oil change every 10,000 miles.... i have changed every 5,000 in this car mainly because of the leak.

Would like to let people be sure when getting oil changes through Greenbriar Vw Chesapeak Va to be sure they are placing the correct full amount for your car specifics. Apparently a possible cause for my problem may be to the low oil in the car. I have put in over 3 quarts of oil since I had the oil changed. I have the oil changed every 5,000 the low oil came on way before that and had to add 3 quarts. Now I have no leaks ect... so sounds like they aren't doing a proper oil change.. Hope this isn't a way to get costumers to come in more frequently and for the dealership to have more business!
