Takata recall. It has been over a year that I have been driving my VW Passat with recalled airbags. My son will soon be driving and I will not allow him to drive this vehicle until the airbag is replaced. I need the airbag replaced before he starts to drive in the summer of 2017. I have received no information from VW regarding the recall and my dealer only says that they are still waiting. Not having this fixed is putting myself at risk and will require us to purchase a new car for my son unless fixed in time for him to start driving. Not having an estimated date for the issue to be fixed by VW is unacceptable.

This has gone way beyond a reasonable time period in which the replacements could be obtained. My vehicle is not safe currently. VW says it's safe to drive, but not safe to get into an accident. I am unable to drive it due to this serious safety problem.
