The dealer did three wheel alignments using two different dealers' devices. A senior wheel technician then recalibrated the electronic steering and did a new alignment using settings for a sport version of the Passat. This fixed the problem 99%. After six months or so, however, the problem returned and a simple wheel alignment did not fix it.

interm. drag/pull of front left wheel in corners We live on a mountain road (not bad though) road is posted 55mph with some 40mph curves. Our 2013 TDI Passat, my 2011 TDI Jetta and brother in laws 2013 TDI Passat all have had n intermittent dragging , pulling of the front left wheel coasting around corners, rt, left, doesn't matter. Occasionally it has been so aggressive it pulls you into on coming traffic! My in laws took their car into VW, no resolve, car is perfectly fine! Too scared to drive the car, sold it. 4th time in to VW for our Passat, finally got service manager to come ride along until car did it's dragging, noise, pulling thing. He sais hmmm, this is our top of the line car with active stability control its helping you stay safe in corners. I said its supposed to scare the sh*t out of you and is it only in your front left wheel, no matter which way the corner is? He said no. This happening in more than one care means it's not just a bad sensor in THIS car, its a "systems" problem and this will be taken higher up. He took car back and now we called to see what the follow up was and they said the car is fine! Said 8 mph over the posted limit was "too aggressive driving!" and car is performing the way it should! This car is so unsafe no one wants to drive it, but what choice do we have? How do you sell a car to someone else you know to be unsafe! VW we can't believe your unwilling to fix or even acknowledge you have a serious problem!
