Summary

Technical Bulletin (Update Programming MIL ON DTCs P0606, P1388 and or P2201 Stored in ECM Fault Memory): MIL ON with NOx Sensor fault P2201 and/or Engine Control Module faults P1388, P0606 are stored in fault memory. Due to NOx sensor diagnostic strategy and ECM monitoring to being too sensitive. The production solution to this issue was Improved ECM software with revised diagnostic and monitoring strategies being implemented into production. This document discusses the "Fault Codes" necessary to diagnosis, and potential remedy of the issue. The fault codes for checking warranty coverage for servicing the vehicle are also available.
