Consumer noticed that the right front headlight lamp was inoperative. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic informed the driver that the head lamp blew out and needed to be replaced. It would cost the consumer $1,200 to get it replaced. A pebble from the street made a small hole in the glass in front of the headlamp. Moisture intruded into the lamp casing. Due tothe heat intensity of the lamp, it short-circuited. The design of the head lamp system does not allow for the swipe replacement of the lamp. The hole in the glass causes need for the entire $1200 system to be replaced.
