This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Car stalled twice at 65mph while on freeway. First incident was 24nov06, 2nd incident was 12 Feb 07. On first incident all car functions completely died and went into "limp mode" after swerving to stop, and was towed to bellingham wa (king Volvo) dealer for "software upgrade on fuel pump". on 2nd incident car went into "reduced engine performance" after restart. I drove the car home 350miles although Volvo suggested towing. I just traded the car in today on an Acura as Volvo wasn't interested in helping me beyond a $3K incentive towards a new Volvo.
