Ahhhh - my Limited Edition Volvo replacement XC90..... sooooo nice Volvo 'gave' me number 490/800 after realizing the first one they sold me (612/800) was destined to become a legal lemon!

Sunday, October 30, 2006..... lo and behold - - the battery's dead!!! How deja vu is this?! Today is November 3rd, Volvo still has this vehicle.

Now, I took possession of this possible lemon-wanna-be on May 13th. How did it make it this long with no dead battery? Well, two reasons. For the first few weeks, the car responded differently when I parked, shut it off, and got out. I told Volvo about this, and they told me it SHOULD work the way I was describing! I then told them that is NOT how my first one worked at all, ever - and I realized then what it was that was slowly draining the battery!!! But hey, I'm just a stupid female, what would I know?? (even though the Volvo President is FEMALE - wow, how ironic is that?!). Anyway, my replacement XC90 gradually began acting just like my old one when engine was turned off. SINCE I WAS SOOOOO VERY SKEPTICAL OF MY NEW XC90, I WOULD DO WHAT I KNEW NEEDED TO BE DONE TO AVOID THE BATTERY DRAINAGE! Makes sense, huh? Spend OVER $50,000 on a new vehicle, and FIGURE OUT HOW TO COMPENSATE FOR IT'S DEFECT!!??

The battery drained and died because I left it in the garage for too many hours, and forgot that my Volvo NEEDS TO BE LOCKED EVEN WHEN IT IS SAFELY IN MY OWN GARAGE!

Told Volvo this on October 31st. Here it is, November 3rd, and it's still at Volvo.....

Amazing, but totally true story.
