Just bought second Volvo. Purchased 2007 XC90, there was road noise, dealer refused to fix or buy new tires. I purchased 4 Continental tires ($900.) due to screaming road noise. Last week 10/5/2014 purchased 4 Michilin tires due to SCREAMING road noise ($1400.) Now will take to local Volvo dealer to see what the problem is.
While driving on test drive was in a residential area and only drove about 40 MPH. Drove SUV home and the road noise was terrible. It sounds like both axles are broke. We went on a 500 mile trip and my husband and I both had throbbing headaches.
I have a 2005 S40 and never a problem or repairs other than new tires when needed.
What do I do? IS MY 90 A LEMON? What do I do with it? I can't do anything with it? Need help.
