Sudden Loss Of Power When Fuel Reaches 230 Miles To Empty

CarComplaints.com Seal Of

CarComplaints.com Notes: I have a complaint about the 2010 XC90: they're really hard to find used because no-one wants to give theirs up. I mean, why would they? This thing is as dependable as my seasonal allergies.

I have had sudden loss of power now 3 times. At first, the dealer did not run any codes and just adjusted bolt behind the alternator - and 3 weeks later the car lost power. Another dealer ran codes - all transmission and flushed fluids. 6 days later it happened again. All 3 times fuel was lower but not low, about 150 - 230 miles left until empty. I called 3rd different repair shops and it preliminarily sounds like the fuel system, not pumping remaining gas out to the engine to use.
