I refuse to purchase another dodge vehicle. Also the 1st month I had the car the engine went out. Of course they replaced it but that was enough.

I HAVE HAD MY FRONT BRAKES DONE ON MY CAR THREE TIMES IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I'VE REPLACED THE PADS EACH TIME AND THE LAST TIME I REPLACED THE ROTORS AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY DID'NT NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEY STILL MAKE A LOUD GRINDING SOUND WHEN YOU STOP ON THEM AND NOW THEY ARE SQUEAKING. THERE IS ALOT OF BRAKE DUST ON THE RIMS AND IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH YOU CLEAN THEM OFF IT STILL COMES BACK. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS SOMETHING DEFECTIVE WITH THE FRONT BRAKES ON THIS YEAR STRATUS?

Ok, I was b*tching about the brakes stuttering and my girlfriend mentioned 3 people who had the same problem. I figured something just needed adjusted. Someone told me to drive in reverse and slam the brakes. I think it may have worked for a few days. As time went on it got noticeably worse. I had the rotors machined for $17 each and they were ok for about 12,000 miles then slowly got worse. I just kept putting it off, but now it won't pass inspection. $346 to get pads and rotors replaced! I'm going to put new ones on myself for $120.
I am wondering since the pads are ceramic, maybe the rotors are too weak and wear down way too soon. Fact: dealers are full of sh*t!
