CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar” warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

I'm not happy this happened and I'm not sure why it happened but I went to youtube before the dealer and saved a bundle. If you hold power and defrost at same time, it will reset the heat. It does work I did it... no thanks to Ford.

Heater is not working at all. Only blows cold air. Even after driving for more than 5+ hours, the temperature never changed. Very irritating.

Heater not working. All I get is air conditioning. Thank God I live in sunny Ca. where the temperatures don't drop below freezing (Although lately its been borderline in the AM)

I'm tired of typing as this is issue number 3. All I can say is Ford, you guys need help. Starting from the quality of the workmanship to the service manager that would not even talk to me to the so called probably underpaid customer service people who answer at the corporate customer service department.

Good buy Ford.

Guess what? The weather turned cold here in Arkansas. I turned my heater on going to work and it blows COLD air! I called the Ford Dealership, reminded him that I had my SUV towed in a few weeks ago because the throttle body went out and they had also worked on my air conditioner. It was amazing! He remembered me or at least the $1582.64 I paid him. He was however surprised to find out the heater was blowing cold air. Of course he informed me it would cost me about $1500.00 more dollars to fix the heater. I told him to forget it. At this rate I should just buy a new car.

Does anyone know why the heater is only blowing cold air?

Recently purchased from a Dealer a 2013 Ford Edge with approx 36000 miles. The fan on the Air conditioner and Heater does not work all the time. Temperature dropped last evening just found out the heater does not work either. When you direct the air to your feet using the switch air still blows through the dash vents but no air through the lower vents. Glad I purchased the extended warranty I hope it covers this problem.

Edge SEL 2.0 T

  • Automatic transmission

Went up north on vacation in July where it was still cold. Tried to use my heat and defroster for the first time since buying the vehicle used in May, but the driver side vents only blew cold air. Took it to the dealership when we got home, and they "reseated" the ac/heat motor. Seemed to work for when I picked it up, but I haven't had to use the heat until today... and it's once again doing the same thing. The biggest problem is that when it's raining I can't defrost my windshield because the driver side will immediately frost up due to the cold air blowing and I can't see to drive.
