CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar” warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

I am one of apparently hundreds of others whom the Ford company is ignoring about the "door ajar" dashboard display light. I have been dealing with it for two weeks and I am toast. I am in the hot Florida sun, trying to get the dome light to go out so I can leave the car and go to work, church, shopping or whatever. I cannot believe Ford will not acknowledge the shoddy part that is causing the problem. I don't have the time or the money for this aggravation. My husband just saved me from all the door slamming when I got home from work. He said to get it 6 inches away from being closed and then just push it slowly closed. I sure hope that works or I may be like the guy on Youtube that yanks the part out! Can we organize a protest at Ford headquarters? That seems to be the trend lately!
