CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar” warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Cracked for no reason; could have been tension or debris behind the windshield prior to replacing the glass. I didn't get hit by flying gravel or debris; showed up at work and saw this crack... thought something was on the windshield. called insurance company and they sent out safe lite to replace it.

Had my car under 6 months, walked out one day, happened to be our first fairly warm day since I purchased my car in the winter, and had a crack in the middle of the windshield. Took it to Ford dealer and Adviser lifted the windshield wiper and said there was a rock chip. How do you get a rock chip under the wiper blade that is flush with the hood? Said they couldn't do anything about it. Rudest service dept I have ever dealt with.

After further research sounds like a stress crack that could lead to a spot of glass popping out that looks like a chip. I guess if enough people start complaining maybe Ford will start looking at it differently. Guess we have to replace on our dime!
