Had always like the look of the Supercrew so went out and bought one everything was great until paint starting flaking off. Didn't understand why so I took it to a local dealer and talk with a service guy on a Saturday he said i'm not a paint and body guy but why has it waited so long to chip off and said he didn't think it was a defect but why would it just flake off and ford seems like they will not honor their product what kinda BS is that built ford tough MY ASS

My husband religiously washes and waxes this truck, Imagine my surprise when last week the paint suddenly is flaking off from the roof and the bed gate top near the handle. I plan to contact the dealer to see if this can be stopped and if they have any explanation as to the cause of this paint flaking. I am concerned with future body rot if this problem cannot be fixed.

Does anyone know if there is a factory recall or class action suit for this issue. It's already well-documented by other owners across the US. Body shop guy says Ford and GM did NOT want to put a U/V protection component into the clear coat and this is causing the paint to peel away from the primer after exposure to the sun.
