F-150 Harley Davidson 5.4L L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

Everything was great until today. The transmission started jerking, not shifting and has a loud metallic noise. The truck only has 38000 miles. I believe that Ford should take a look at all the complaints against them and change their policy to cover major deals like this. I guess it helps their reputation suck. My wife bought a new Thunderbird several years ago. The transmission started acting up at 73000 miles. What is up with Ford and why does the government allow them to keep screwing people????

F-150 XLT 5.4L

Dealer replaced a part on a Recall. Ok for a few months and started up shift clunking. When you would let up on the gas during as shift the transmission would clunk at shift. Never got the dealer to experience the problem, never fixed due to somewhat occasional nature of problem. Never failed just not happy with performance. Somewhat less obvious with time but never stopped making clunking noise.
