This is the SECOND time my intermittent wiper control has failed. This truck is very low miles and suddenly the wipers wouldn't go off completely but was stuck on the first level of intermittent wiping mode. The unit had to be replaced and the truck just went off warranty due to age not mileage. In less than a year and very few miles the unit suddenly quit all together in the middle of a rainstorm mid wipe. Fortunately it started back up but would only work on the highest setting (fastest continuous mode). I believe the wiring is of poor construction or the stupid units themselves. This is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE especially since we get over 200 inches of rain in Hilo HI each year.
How many of you guys had issues with this, let alone more than once.
This is a work truck and isn't driven much during the year so to have it fail twice in a short period of time sucks! Of course this isn't covered and only the "dealer" can fix it.......
