This has been happening when I brake over uneven surfaces. Or in the rain. Happening more and more. I have been reading that there are a lot of 2007 Ford Focus's with this problem. I guess I need to change the master Cylinder and the computer attached to it. I can't afford this now so I think Ford should take care of it.

I got my front brakes replaced in March and my back brakes replaced in May or June. I have never had any issues with my car thus far and I got her brand new. Between March and now (November) I have taken my car into an auto place 4 times and the Ford Dealership 1 time. The Ford Dealership confirmed that my brakes were replaced correctly. HOWEVER, no one can figure out why they decide to stop working.

This has now happened about 10 times. If I am driving over uneven pavement, whether it is a bunch or a small section, my brakes might decide to become spongy. I now have to drive complete aware if I'm driving over uneven pavement so I make sure not to use my brakes. I have not tried this backwards, only forwards. Basically the brake becomes a sponge and almost hit the floor before starting to work. I have tried pumping the brake (car on and off), turning off the car and turning it back on again, and just stepping away and turning it on later. I cannot figure out what technique to use to make it catch at the normal rate.

I have all new brakes plus they flushed something to make sure there wasn't air in the brake lines. They also held on to my car for a few days to see if they could get it to do it. The problem is that they don't know the normal catch of my brakes. So, I have a feeling that when I brought my car in to be looked at there may have been a chance that she was doing it but because they don't know how she is supposed to brake they said they didn't feel anything. The only other thing I've been told is that we can replace the Master Cylinder but that may not be the issue.

I am so frustrated. Any advice?!?
