I had the car a whole day and in the morning it wouldn't start. Very disappointed and upset because if I was in the wrong neighborhood I would be dead, robbed, or attacked. I have read about the complaints on this issue and Ford has done nothing to solve it. I'll never get another Ford car in my life.

I drive a 2009 Ford Focus, and approximately 2 yrs ago, I started having problems with it not starting. I only have a problem with it on a hot start, in the summer months, never during the winter. If I drive it on the freeway for more than 20 minutes, and stop for gas, or to run into the store, when I try to start it, the car won't start. I finally was able to afford to get it fixed, and the starter was replaced, however, the condition did not change. I am so frustrated, because I drive for a rideshare service, and what does it look like for the person that's supposed to be getting someone somewhere, to not be able to start their own car? I'll tell you, it's embarrassing!!

I have been having Major issues with my 2009 ford focus. It has 131,000 miles on it and last year i started having trouble with the ignition. At first, I thought my battery was dead until I noticed everything was lit up in the car, so I started to turn it off and try again, it worked for a while. This went on for awhile and more frequent that it just got on my nerves. Now I find myself constantly turning, turning and turning in order to start. For the last 6 months now, I have to push in the key hard in order for the damn thing to start. Need help.

Turn ignition on, does not crank. Lights and warning lights are working. Have to take key out several times, open doors and will finally crank and start.

Well, let me tell you - I have had problems with this vehicle since I purchased, and it has been more than just electrical ! I have the cracked windshield issue as well, went out to my car one day and there is a crack that has started from the top center of the windshield and of course has made its way all over the window. But since I can only list one complaint at a time, my car which is only 1.5 years old does not want to start, and the electrical panel sometimes goes out, which my car was already while under warranty fixed for this issue. Can't get satisfaction with this issue with Ford, except to take to a ford dealership for a diagnostic, that I have to pay for !
