Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Doors randomly fail to open from inside. Most of the time it is the rear doors and can only be unlocked from the master (front) release. It acts as if the child lock is engaged, but have verified it is not. I see this is a problem from numerous owners, so will have it checked at the next service visit. Just wanted to add my car to the other complaints.

The passenger side rear door (lock actuator) is not functioning properly and I can not open the door from inside or outside (neither manually nor with power.) if there ever was a car fire or serious accident the passenger in the back of the car would not be able to get out or even be helped out. Very dangerous!!

Rear doors will not lock or unlock. Started out intermittent problem, now they are permanently shut and locked. Will not respond to key fob or power lock button. Unable to pull up the manual locking knob; it's frozen in place. Basically the rear seat is now useless as I can't access it.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact was driving 55 mph when he crashed into a deer. The impact caused the roof to detach from the vehicle. The contact spoke with the manufacturer and inquired of how the roof was secured to the vehicle but the manufacturer would not provide the requested information. The contact spoke to a local mechanic and was advised that the roof should have been welded much more securely than what it was. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure and the current mileages were 15,000. Updated 04/19/12 updated 05/02/12
