Ford says this is a feature, I say crap.
Sydney has one of the worst polluted tunnels in the world, which is approx 5km in length. In peak hour it is bumper to bumper and traffic moves at around 10 to 20km per hour (very very slow).
The air conditioner will turn from recirculated air all on its own sucking in the exhaust from other cars and trucks filling the interior cabin of the Ford Focus Titanium is seconds. On top of that, I suffer from asthma and this triggers an asthma attack and I need to take medications.
The problem occurs daily, at least twice a day (guaranteed) since the day I bought the car.
Have spoken to the Ford dealership twice (where I bought the car) and the mechanic (who suggested I phone Ford). I have contacted ford australia now twice by email and once by phone, they have replied weeks later on two occasions now telling me that it is a feature of the car. This is crap, have you ever heard of something so stupid.
I am so upset about this I have created a website for it. http://www.fordfocustitanium.com which details the problem.
Let's hope ford see this and do something about it.
