My right front turn signal suddenly stopped working. It still lights up but won't flash when I signal. It has caused me to almost get into a couple of accidents because the other car didn't know I was turning or changing lanes.

The only reason I haven't had an accident is because I check my blind spot and mirrors multiple times carefully before I move.

I took it to the dealer and they had the car for 3 and a half days and still didn't fix it. They didn't even tell me what was wrong with it. I contacted them at the 3 and a half day mark because I needed my car back as transportation and they told me I would have to come back in again for them to "finish up". I don't even know how long it will take because they didn't tell me what's wrong. Judging by the other complaints though it's probably the smart junction box. I will be looking into other places to get it fixed and other options.

left front turn signal does not go on , outside, but shows working inside. This has caused a near accident 2 times as people cannot see that you are turning left. FORD DOES NOT CARE , it is either pay $600.00 or live with the problem. This is a pain in the neck. Looking at other brands for replacement.

Stated out right front turn signal didn't work then went to both not working. Then left front would not turn off, had to disconnect the battery. Ford analyzed it and said they "think" it's the control module, $400 plus labor. Have not had it fixed, looking for other options, such as bad wire in steering column. And not driving the car as don't know what further damage may result if we did.

Turn signal won't work.

Some will stay on, even after removing the key and indefinitely!

Other won't turn on!

I changed the bulbs but same problem. I went to the dealer and they said that I have to replace the SJB (Smart Junction Box) at $700!!!!!

Turn signals are very critical for the security, it is a big issue to not be able to signal your intentions to other drivers! Ford have to do something about it!

After extensive online searches and talking with car people it has been determined that the most likely cause for my left front directional not working is the Smart Junction Box. A very expensive fix for what is historically just a light bulb to replace. The wonders of modern technology I guess. My understanding is that Ford does not consider this a safety hazard. There are numerous reports of this problem, it is a safety hazard in my opinion. I actually don't know for sure how long the light was out. I only found out because they check these things where I get my oil changed. Thanks for letting me rant. :)

it is annoying because usually when a signal light doesn't work, it would cost the price of a bulb. With that system, when that Smart Junction box let go it cost over $600 to fix it. There are a lots of complaint online about this.

My brake lights were not working and I had brought the car back in to Ford. They said I had an electrical problem and I had to leave the car again.

They had my car for a week, and they said they found nothing wrong with the lights. But my right brake light was replaced 6 times since then.

The turn signal lever will not stay in the left position. The slightest vibration will kick the lever back in the neutral position. When signaling right, the lever works great, however, it doesn't in the left position. It is as if the sharpness of the plastic has been worn down. It is a real safety hazard, especially when you have on-coming traffic.

Right front blinker would not work while others did. Came down to have to replace complete box. Annoying and dangerous when driving with no turn signal.

Left front turn signal does not work, left rear works normally, no indication light was not working until I just about hit a cyclist who came back to stop me and let me know light was not working. Bulb has been changed as has been the socket, Mechanic says ground is alright, and said their might be some kind of problem with a module of some kind. Any input out their?
