So I went to start car, and had to get a jump went and put on machine to tell you what was wrong. Check engine light came on (it never ran hot) and put it on the machine. I was told plugs needed to be replaced, so I replaced plugs, light went off. I went out to leave 2 days later and the car wouldn't start, so I called and was told sounds like starter is bad. I had it towed to shop, was told engine bad, towed to a Ford dealer, and at this time was told powertrain control module and possibly battery needs replaced.

So needless to say, we paid out over 13,000.00 for the part and a new battery... needless to say problem not fixed and I was then told that the engine needed to be replace due to the head gasket seal breaking, and again car never ran hot!!!!! Welp... and imagine that the warranty won't cover this issue, because it only covers lubricated parts... hello... isn't the seal lubricated????

So needless to say we don't have thousands of dollars to replace an engine... especially with my husband's health issues... I am going to write Ford and see what I can do...

doesn't start

Check engine light, two cracked spark plugs, multiple error codes, coolant kept disappearing with no visible leaks, dry carpet, no puddles. White smoke, rough idle: blown gasket found - this was due to Ford defect in design. Ford not assuming responsibility yet for my model year.

Purchase car in October from police impound. I did car fax - only two owners - and haven't been driven since 2018. Now the car will not crank over. Very nice kept-up looking car but no f*cking start. Sent to two shops. They say engine $4000, the other shop says $3600 loss of pressure cause of won't start. Sent to FORD - they did diagnostic test and says it's the engine then calls me and tells me they need 5 hours of high-tech engineer to look - wtf $800 - and had the car for two weeks! Car is not fixed!!!

Update from Dec 7, 2020: Ford has had my car since November 2020. They informed me Dec 7th 2020 that I need an engine long block replace because coolant is leaking into the engine!! They say repairs of $7100 - no help❗

Please help someone.

Car has been babied. Bought brand new in February 2015. Hardly driven. Just by itself, car won't start. Battery totally fine. All the lights go on, ac, etc. Had it towed to dealership. So far they say that it's wiring problem as wire(s) with holes!

I JUST BOUGHT MY CAR TWO MONTHS AGO, A NEW 2015 THAT HAD 30 MILES ON IT. THE CAR WHEN I GOT OUT OF IT WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THEN IT STAYED ON FOR FIVE MINS AND STARTED SHAKING THEN TURNED OFF. THE NEXT DAY IT WOULD NOT START. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE IT NOW. BUT THE PART IS ON HOLD FOR TWO WEEKS.

Fusion SE 1.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,800 miles

doesn't start, lcds are white w/ mileage reading dashes

short delay in readiness, but eventually will start

This has happen to me three times so far. Two when I first got the car and then 5 months later. I will probably mention it to the dealership but isn't urgent as the car does start and act normal.
