The car started missing like thr transmission was going out til it completely stopped running. Finally had the transmission replaced and it did it again. The tappet on the high pressure fuel pump under the hood ended up being the problem. The cam shaft is wearing a hole in them I just replaced it a second time in 3 months. Now I have metal in my engine and Ford said they have been selling them pretty quick so that tells me there is a problem.

I have a car health monitor plugged into my obd II port, it's out just one day read (cylinder 2 misfire) so I drive to work and then call hiltop Ford (richmond ca)to bring it in to see what's wrong. They performed recalls but as far the issue I brought it in for they said, that they had no idea what's wrong with the car and have to replace the entire engine. And directly after telling me this and me leaving I get a call from the sales department trying to set up and appointment to purchase a new vehicle! so now I'm of the mindset that something is fishy. I then took the car to a mechanic I know, during that ride my car begins to overheat, off and on. After getting the car to the mechanic he ran his diagnostics and told me yeah my I have a spark plug that's out and needs to be replaced. I get that done, everything is fine for about 3-4 weeks. Then the same thing happens (cylinder 2 misfire and overheating) at this point I don't trust Ford cause they new they at least knew the spark plugs was out. Back to the mechanic I go, he then let's me know that there's a notice out describing the issue so he told me to contact Ford to see if they'd fix it. Again Ford 'knew nothing' of the sort. And my car just stopped and won't start and it is directly related to the issues the car has had. Now here I am trying to find the best course of action and not have to purchase a new car. Not sure why this isn't recalled when it's happening to a lot of people.

I have had my car for only 3 months now. Absolutely no signs that anything was bad or starting to go out. I was driving with my daughter leaving the bank and my car dies in the middle of the rd in a curve!!! the wrench tool light pops up and says see owner manual/ in the manual this indicates a power train/ AWD problem. The car when started idles very rough and doesn't want to accelerate. I have read other complaints that is exactly like mine with the 2016 Ford Fusion. I am a single mom of 4 and only have this car. I am getting it to a mechanic to see what shows up. From what I have seen on other complaints it has to do with failure of the throttle body sensor! had someone been behind me we could've been hit due to the car stalling in the rd! luckily I was going down hill and was able to coast onto a side road!! thank god! many other cars the same as mine are experiencing this! please investigate this problem and recall the parts associated with it!! this is extremely dangerous especially where I live( mountains) with winding roads and less visibility for a car behind me if I stall out in a curve like I did today! I was driving on a secondary road when this happened, near the main road.

While driving on the highway, the car suddenly displayed a 'wrench' indicator which states 'see owner's manual'. the car lost the ability to accelerate (gas pedal/acceleration was disabled). After steering the vehicle to the side of the road, the car began to idle very rough before the car was turned off. I attempted to restart the vehicle, but the engine continued to idle very rough and the wrench light and check engine light both appeared illuminated. Upon inspection with an obd II code reader, the code 'P2111' was displayed. This indicated a 'stuck open' throttle, resulting in the disabled acceleration of the vehicle. After the code was cleared, the vehicle started normally and was able to be driven home on surface roads. After brief inspection, the throttle appears to be mechanically in good condition, and investigation online indicates many other vehicles of this make/model experience a failure of the throttle body sensor. This explains the symptoms exeprienced by my vehicle despite the mechanical condition of the throttle being good. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but sudden loss of acceleration could be extremely dangerous in a variety of scenarios, especially at highway speeds.

The car shut off randomly and the check engine light came on. I started the car again and it starts. When I fill up, it starts, but it hesitates to turn off again, and sometimes doesn't come back on. It's something to do with the air in the tank due to it being capless. When it comes to the body, the door alert came on 6/12/2020 stating that the foot was open randomly. I was driving to a nearby store going about 20 mph with the doors locked and fully shut.

About a year ago the vehicle would just stop for no reason. The check engine light would come on occasionally and it said it was the fuel sensor. Sometimes the car would completely shut down when accelerating or at highway speeds. Took the vehicle in for repairs on October 17, 2019 and the issue was resolved. Now, a few months later, the same thing is happening. Consumer replaced the fuel pump on 05/29/20 and since then has recurred 2 more times, unable to accelerate.

So this started just about a week ago I noticed I had low coolant, I had serviced my car recently so I thought maybe they just forgot to add some, it wasn't below the minimum line but it was getting near so I topped it off, well not I notice my coolant is leaking further more and more, I've researched it online and many people are having this issue although there's no recall issues there should be, people are paying thousands of dollars for a new engine because of a defect and I fear I'm going to be one of those people also, they claim the 2nd piston goes out due to coolant leaking inside. Please please investigate this defect, Ford lied about their Ford Focus and now it's their Ford Fusion.

We bought our Ford Fusion SE in August 2019 and now we're told our purge valve needs to be replaced and it isn't covered by warranty. Our check engine light came on when driving on the interstate and we made an appointment immediately to be seen.

My car will shut down and lose all power without notice when I'm at highway speeds. A comment comes on the dash that says something like " transmission is not in gear" or something like that. I'm not sure of the exact words because whenever it does it I'm looking to get to the far right lane so I can come to a complete stop on the side of the highway to come to a stop, put the car in park, turn it off then turn it back on. It's so dangerous to have the car lose all power going 70 mph. I really think something needs to be done on this before someone gets killed. This has happened probably 5 different times in the past few months. I don't have the exact dates when it's happened but the last time it did I was traveling in Kansas City and thought I was going to cause a large accident trying to get my car over to the shoulder without power.

I found a fuel leak on my 2016 Ford Fusion titanium ecoboost. About 5 months ago when I first notice the problem, a smell of fuel on the left rear passenger side door and as you go further to the rear, the smell of fuel gets stronger, I went to the ground to check for any sign of leaks but I never found any, except for the strong scent of fuel. I thought it was just a fuel thats coming from the fuel refill cap and didnt pay much attention to it. Not until after coming back from work, about 5 months later and went to tend for my vehicle that were parked in our drive way for 5 months, as I sat down on the driver seat and start the engine, I notice the gas on the tank, it was 1/4 left but prior from leaving the vehicle at the drive way, I refuel it and left it with a full tank, so I went around my vehicle to investigate the under carriage of the car and ended up seeing a stain of fuel leak on the ground and as I went deep down under the vehicle were the tank is located, I start to see a trace of fuel dripping down from the gas tank and to the tank shield or tank cover?! I cant named the plate that holds the fuel tank and as I trace it further to the gas tank I saw were the leak is coming from and its coming from were the refill tube was installed..! I start to check the web for any clues on what could cause it from getting a crack on the tank and found that Ford Fusion had recalls for the same car, same brand, same year but different manufactured month date but same on the manufactured year wich is 2015 and still Ford Motor Company denies a factory deffect and wont grant me a recall that were made at the same year, brand, model but different manufactured month.. I hope that someone could adress this issue and get the problem fixed specially when a problem involves a fuel, it is very serious not only for safety of the motorist but to endanger our ecosystem as well...
