When I purchased this vehicle it had 80,000 miles on it, and the rear dome light was constantly flickering while the vehicle was in motion, I took it back to the dealer and they said they fixed the issue, but when I went to pull out of their lot, the light came on again. I left the vehicle there and when I went to pick it up the second time the issue was (temporarily) resolved. Then, several months later the interior dome lights no longer come on automatically at all. I am assuming this is an electrical wiring issue as I have also experienced replacing the headlights on this vehicle every 3-6 months due them being burnt out ever since I purchased the vehicle, and now my drivers window switch is burnt out as well.

CR-V EX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

I just bought this 2005 Honda CR V EX. I've had it a few days and am now noticing a few issues with it. The one I've reported thus far is about the dome light. It works. It goes on and off if you use the switch at the light.....AND if you open the Passenger door it will come on automatically like it's supposed to. But NOT when you open the driver side door. Instead...it won't come on when opened and Does come on when closed. I found the drivers side door switch and it's not caved in...it moves freely when pushed and springs back out when you let it go.....so the only other thing I can think of is that one of the wires to that switch is bad...or the switch needs replaced?
