The air bag light comes on intermittently, It seems to be heat related since the problem is non-existent in the winter months but during the summer the light comes on when it is hot. I think it is more an outside temperature problem than an engine heat problem. The light does not seem to come on first thing in the morning but after being parked outside in the heat the light comes on and stays on. If I park in the garage for awhile after the light has been on and I start the car again the light will stay on again. If the light comes on it will stay on until I turn the car off. It came on a few times before I had the driver side airbag replaced in 10/2015 and then a few times after on warm days. Then there were no problems with it all winter until in the summer. It did not come on during a driving trip in early June 2016 but got worse over the summer, coming on practically every day. No problem during the winter again and now it is coming on a lot again. I was hopeful that replacing the passenger side airbag (5/2017) might solve the problem but it did not. Trying to figure out if it really means the airbags will not deploy in an accident or if it is not really a problem.
