This issue starting showing up last summer. Anytime the temp went above high 90s the air would start blowing warm. As it was an intermittent issue, both Auto Repair shops were unable to diagnose and repair. So another year goes by and now it's hot as heck and it's doing it again. Ran great Fall, Winter, & Spring. No issues. High 90s to 100s return and it's back...…….. Was there a recall for the AC Compressor Clutch? I am the original owner and never received any recall other than the Tanaka Air Bag replacement, which I did take in and have done.

This is a big problem in a country like Australia. Contacted Honda Australia about it after learning that they extended the warranty for this in the US, they didn't care. Did some research online, and worked out that it was just the coil not engaging the belt from the motor to drive the compressor. This constant on/off of the AC unit means that the coils more than likely die a premature death. Mechanics will want to replace the whole AC unit, do some research and investigate to confirm it is just the coil. The coil is available as a separate part and will be much less than a whole new compressor, and less work because no re-gassing is required, etc.

IT'S REALLY SAD THAT HONDA HAS SUCH NICE VEHICLES BUT WHEN THERE IS A RECALL ON YOUR VEHICLE THEY DON'T GET THE WORD OUT TO YOU LIKE THEY SHOULD! BETTER YET WHEN YOU TAKE IT TO THE DEALER NO ONE WANTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT'S WARRANTY. IF THEY'RE GONNA SELL THE VEHICLE THEY SHOULD HONOR THE WARRANTY. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASION AND CALLED CORPORATE CONCERNING MY AIR CONDITION AND OTHER PROBLEMS. NEVER DID ANYONE STATE THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SEATBELT. THEN I RECEIVE THIS LETTER ASKING ME TO SIGN AND RETURN. THIS IS JUST CRAP!

When your air goes out, and you take it to a dealer, and it's under a warranty, They tell you its going to cost, just to look at it, but it's under a warranty. So, They said the fan is going out. It would cost me 200.00. I found out its not the fan, It's the clutch, that's suppose to be under a recall. No, So I gave up. My fan blows hot air. It's charged, so what's wrong,
