This was a real pain! The alarm would go off randomly. The dealer said it was due to the remote start. I had the remote starter removed. Sure enough the alarm still blared. My neighbors were really unhappy when it would go off at night. Can't say I blamed them I wasn't happy either! I took it back to the dealer. They couldn't find the problem. Finally after another visit leaving it overnight, they decided the problem was the hood latch. They replaced the latch which seemed to take care of the problem. Really? How often is the hood even opened? In this car it's only when the oil is changed. Why should opening the hood a few times a year cause the latch to fail?
