I had a slight growling when I was backing up and turning.I thought it was just a minor glitch, new vehicle and all. However, it continued to get worse and worse. I finally called the dealership and told them of the problem. I was told that they were already warned by Honda that they should expect getting calls on this matter. They told me to come in and they would fix it. I was upset that they know there was a problem with the new CR-Vs and failed to let the customers know that they should schedule a appointment to remedy the situation.
I took my vehicle in to be repaired and they told me that it would take a couple of hours. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was told that the problem was not fixed and that they had to wait on parts. They said that they did, however, confirm that the problem was the rear clutch assembly. They know this when I made the appointment, so I would like to know why I wasted my time taking the vehicle in when they already knew that they didn't have the parts to fix it yet.

CR-V EX AWD 2.4L-Liter, 4 cyl
This is my first Honda CR-V, but not my first SUV or 4 wheel drive. Just a few weeks ago I started noticing a sound when I backed up or was pulling out and turning. It sounded as if in a 4x4 locked in on pavement. I've made an appointment to have it checked later this week. I will report on the findings.
