CR-V ES 3.2L

Intermittent no start issue, engine turns over but won't start. By the time it gets towed to the mechanic it starts without a problem. Aggravating problem.

Update from Oct 27, 2018: Checked youtube and someone solved the problem by replacing the main relay, so far so good start issue gone.

CR-V ES 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

It will turn over but will not start. You wait about 3 to 24 hours and it will start right up.

We took it to a shop the 2nd time it happened and when they went out to check it out it started right up with them. So they could not find the problem to fix it. Not very happy with the CR-V at the moment.

I purchased a new Honda CR-V in March of 2008, trading in a Mercedes ML from HELL!! Relaying on the Honda name (much like I did for the Mercedes) and had good luck with Honda's before. Well, the need of May I went to start the car and if failed to even make a spark!! Went back and tried again and it starting perfectly. Still, I took it to the dealer who found nothing wrong with it. I've had no more problems until the first part of Sept when the same problem happened again - dealer could find nothing wrong again. There more, look for my additional complaints!!!
