CarComplaints.com Notes: While the 2009 CR-V still came equipped with tires that wear out faster than my Grandpa after a turkey dinner, Honda did address an electrical problem with the door locks that plagued owners of previous model years.

Car was running fine then all the sudden - without warning it freaked. Idling in a drive thru (not very long, not a very hot or warm day) and all the sudden it screeched and started smoking from under the hood. Turned it off and it started, did it again. Drove it home - no issues. Next day, car didn't even start. Towed it to a repair shop, replaced the battery. Everything seemed fine. A week later, it clicked when turning the ignition. Replaced the starter. ALL THESE PROBLEMS OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING OR A LIGHT. They also did not happen consistently.
