The E-Brake touches the leg when one tries to use the dead pedal. If the pedal was shorter or positioned an inch to the left it would not be an issue. I have to conscientiously move to avoid the pedal, it is an irritant and becomes very uncomfortable on longer trips.
My sister almost bought a CR-V but after a test drive refused to consider this model.
