There were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle abruptly switched to limp mode and the vehicle was unable to exceed 20 MPH. The contact was able to move onto the road shoulder and had the vehicle towed to the mechanic. The mechanic performed a diagnostic test that located the failure code at the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage is 75,065.
