The contact owns a 2016 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while fastening the driver-€™s side seat belt, the seat belt failed to fully retract or secure the contact in the driver-€™s seat. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the contact was advised to rub the seat belt mechanism with rubbing alcohol. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that he would receive a callback. The failure mileage was approximately 46,564.
