CarComplaints.com Notes: It's rare when a newer vehicle has defect trends. Judging from the identical 2017 model year, the 2018 Honda CR-V is likely to have at least two — overfilled oil levels with a gas smell, & heat not working.
Both problems affecting the Honda CR-V's 1.5L "Earth Dreams" engine appear to be related to cold-climate regions.
CR-V owners also report no heat even after warming up their CR-Vs for 30 minutes — not even enough to defrost the windshield. So far, there has been no fix from Honda for this issue.

The infotainment display screen on my 2018 Honda CR-V with 10,000 miles is prone to -€œregularly and unexpectedly-€ malfunction while a vehicle is in motion. It will spontaneously freeze, dim or go dark and start beeping. or go into full-brightness mode all on its own, which can be particularly dangerously distracting to a driver. The beeping was constant and a "Brightness" bar kept popping up and it would self adjust than go dark again. It is intermittent, so you never know when it will happen. It is a safety issue. I went to Capitol Honda in San Jose, Ca and talked to an adviser to ask if there has been a recall on the touch screen and they said no and that they have never heard of this problem. I also went to Victory Honda in Morgan Hill, Ca and they also said no recall on the touch screen and they have not heard of any problems with the touch screen, The advisor said that they could run a diagnostic test for $190, but I declined. If you do a search on the web for this problem you will see many other people also have this same problem, but Honda will not acknowledge that there is a problem.
