The contact called on behalf of his granddaughter who owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact stated while the vehicle was being driven at highway speeds, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated to 10 MPH, and stalled without warning. The driver was able to pull off the roadway and restart the vehicle after several attempts; however, the vehicle failed to exceed 10 MPH. The vehicle was also running rough. The contact stated that on three occasions, after the failure, the vehicle failed to start and was towed. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The failure recurred five times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The mechanic determined that the engine was misfiring. The spark plugs and ignition wires were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

My Catalac converter needs to be replace I took it in backin March because dash lights were on. It was covered under warranty barley made it the first time I took it into Acura they failed to look if it was covered for me. After a month of stress and research it was so I took it back to Acura with the paperwork and spoke to the manager who checked it 2 times and said it wasn-€™t I handed him the paperwork n he was able to find it he ordered the part and said he-€™d give me my diagnosis fee back when the part comes in. I-€™ve been waiting 6 months for it now. Well now my engine block needs to be replaced wich is a bigger issue. And im barely over 80,000 miles the tech said everything looked up to date on car, there-€™s no reasonable explanation on Why this happen. And again the part I need is also on back order. Im carless and just over warranty timeframes I-€™ve only had the car about a year wth a car payment still. This is very frustrating

driving 65-70 MPH on highway the car would feel sluggish like it needs power then I can hear the engine roar louder then i get alerts on my dash that my brakes are not working my blind spot or lane keep assist or any safety features in my car is not activated working properly is what my car tells me i Almost lost my life twice those two times I almost got rear ended my semi truck on highway going 65+ on highway first time was March 1 2020 when i was driving from massachusetts to New York felt like my car was stalling I would try give it more gas but it felt real slow sluggish second time was recent October 2 2021 i was heading to casino in Connecticut on my way there dash says same problems as before this time the car wouldn-€™t allow me to go past 60 it kept me in 45-55 mph on the high I was scared because speed limit was 65 here comes semi truck lucky I was able to pull to side of the highway in time but I was so scared cause I know how fast that truck was coming my car shut off as soon as I got on the side of the road all I felt was my car shake from speed of the truck that literally passed me my car was off on side of highway was pitch black all I was hoping for was truck not hiting me because he was in the same lane as me but while I was quick in reacting I put on my hazard lights on before my car shut off when I pulled along side of the road I wanted to plan a trip for me & my girlfriend im scared to take my car because today on my home from work my car did it again coming home from work driving 70 mph 10/14/21 I don-€™t know what to do so scared feel like nobody wants to recall my car I keep hearing story-€™s online with people who got the same car as me & to no avail find the solution to their car geting repaired also I felt like dealership did something to my car transmission because i brought in my car for brakes Service during repair they called me state we messed up my transmission which was not related to why I brought it in for fix it under warranty

For just shy of a year, We've been experiencing problems with our 2016 TLX misfiring and stalling. Fuel pressure has been tested and it's shown to dramatically drop while under load. It behaves like the problem identified with the recall NHTSA 19V060000 for the V6 of the same year/model. It's a very disturbing event when it happens and it prevents us from driving the car longer than 30-45 minutes - particularly for adequately and safely handling highway driving. At the worst, the car goes into limp mode/stalls out.

My electrical parking brake stays on even when I unapply the brake. Sometimes my automatic emergency braking light will come on saying disabled. My traction stability control will become disabled out of nowhere. My lane keeping assistance will also become disabled with everything else. All this happens all together and my check engine and emission warning light come on whenever everything becomes disabled.

I tried to start my car and it made a weird ticking noise as if the battery was dead. All the lights on the dashboard turned on and the car kept telling me I needed to turn off some sort of brake system in order for the car to work. I turned the car off and tried again, this time it would not start but automatically turned on to accessory mode. I had to call my car insurance to give the car a jump and it seemed to do the trick, however, he noted that it wasn't the battery and that it was very odd.

I saw a mechanic and figured out the problem. I checked on Acura website and there was a notice that they recalled this car last year with the same exact thing that my car was diagnosed with and my car is malfunctioning and there is nothing they can do about it because my VIN does not have a recall on it even though I have the exact problem of their recall. My car is malfunctioning and I called headquarters client relations and they told me they can do nothing about it and that if I want it fixed then I have to fix it myself. I was driving on a high way when all the lights turned on in my car my brake system says it failed my transmission light is on, my park brake is flashing, lane assist popping up. There are many people with Acura who have the same issues as I do!

When attempting to pass, the vehicle will have over a one second delay before it will downshift. This has led to numerous dangerous situations where rapid acceleration was necessary. This will happen whether on a city or highway street. It does not matter what mode of drive is selected, such as sport, or sport plus. I can most easily describe what happens as a dropping sensation in your stomach, and a sensation in your neck where you anticipate the car to "jump forward", yet nothing happens for over 1 second. It is quite disconcerting! I have brought this back to the dealership on three occasions and had two repairs done under warranty, and I paid for two portions of the visits. From researching the internet, this is a very common problem for this model of Acura.

My car stalled while driving on the interstate at 75mph. It happened in may, July, and September 2019. While driving the vehicle lost power and would not accelerate. The tachometer registering the rpms dropped to 1,000 and stayed there. After pulling over, shutting the car off, waiting, and restarting the car, the vehicle proceeded to operate as normal. Many of the warning lights appeared during this incident. Finally, in September, my car was undriveable and had to be towed to the dealership. The determination was that the car needed a new engine. I'm still awaiting for the repairs to be completed at this time (November 13, 2019).

The transmission is jerky, clunky, bounces to a stop, bounces and lurches forward when stopping, will take 2-3 seconds to respond to pedal push and then take off. It's very dangerous in stop and go traffic. It's very dangerous when stopping for pedestrians. It's very dangerous when driving, period.
