Problem started with new car. I have the Halogen lights. Noticed that at night, when braking, headlights would dim almost like I was flashing oncoming traffic. Subsequently noticed that all of the lights would dim even with headlights off(dome etc). Lights do not dim when car is off and on battery only. Have taken the car to dealer 3 times and each time I am told by dealer, manufacturer rep and Audi corporate that the issue is "normal" and they refuse to fix it or move me into another vehicle. After looking at another car on the lot it also had the issue. Personally this seems to be a problem with all 2009 A3 model cars. To say it is normal is like making a car and having only the passenger window roll down and trying to say that is normal because all of them do it.
