Once you hook the front air dam on a parking barrier, the bumper cover/air dam assembly pulls off when backing out. After that, it pops off at the slightest provocation. This problem is common to A4 and A6 models. It's not clear that replacing the expensive front assembly would even fix it; more likely it needs some minor repairs to the subframe and a new set of fasteners.
