While driving with the driver's seatbelt latched, I received a warning/reminder to fasten the seatbelt. After several seconds, the chime and warning message stopped. I took the vehicle into the dealership and they replaced the seatbelt receptacle.
Sensors in driver seat failed, causing the airbag light to light, signaling to the car that the seatbelt was not latched. This was an incessant problem throughout a drive. This happened 3 times, the first two times the dealer only reset the light. This last time, they replaced the entire drivers seat.
The contact owns a 2017 Audi A4. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 16V955000 (air bags, seat belt) however, the parts to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
