Summary
Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 26 number 12-13 dated August 31, 2012. The MIL is on. DTCs are stored in the ECM. The quality of the auxiliary exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler modules manufactured within a certain timeframe may be inadequate. The vacuum actuator diaphragm may have leaks. A faulty auxiliary EGR cooler will trigger a P310E fault. Faulty operation of the auxiliary EGR cooler can also trigger the P040B fault, but there is no issue with the temperature sensor.
