Possible design defect in the 2008 Audi Tt roadster. On October 18, 2008 I was on a Suburban street and unwittingly drove over what I believe was a small rock. The latter unalarmingly banged into the bottom of the car. A few blocks later I pulled into my friend"S driveway, parked, and went inside. Five minutes later I came out and found that the car"S entire oil reservoir had spilled out onto the driveway. I phoned fred baker Audi service, and within an hour the car was being inspected by the mechanic team. I want to make it clear that I have no problem with the excellent customer service provided by fred baker Porsche Audi. Here is what concerns me: Audi mechanics explained to me that the screw that secures the pan had punctured the oil pan because it is too long and not protected. However unusual this occurrence was, I believe that Audi should have protectors over the screws so that they are not driven into the oil pan if a rock hits the undercarriage of the car.
