The contact owns a 2009 Buick Lucerne. The contact stated that the vehicle randomly lost power. Once the vehicle restarted, it would shutter and jerk. In addition, the speed would accelerate and decelerate during the failure before returning back to normal. The engine service center light would illuminate on the instrument panel and the traction control and anti-lock brakes would not work. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there could be a bad connection between the accelerator pedal and the fuel being sent to the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 68,000.
