Check engine light came on and the Cadillac dealer as well as two independent shops gave the same diagnosis -- the timing chains [3] had evidently 'stretched' -- no recall, no warranty -- only $1,500 out of my pocket -- who ever heard of such a dumb thing, this is not a Toyota with timing belts -- I am truly disgusted, that's the end of Cadillac for me --

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was found that the hose that was connected to the radiator and to the transmission had failed. The vehicle was not N repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 72,000.

I had timing chain done on my car in Oct. Of 2011 at jack wolf in belvedire, il at the time the car was fixed under a extended warranty. I then had the same problem happen again Jan. 2013. I called GM I was told that then would not fix it even though it had only been a year and 6 months since the problem happen before.
