CTS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 73,231 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This is a safety hazard and needs immediate attention. Took to dealership, reported it to General Motors at 1-800-521-7300 and also NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 and filed complaints. GM has already issued recalls (09V-419 & 12V459000) for 2007, 2008 and 2009 Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn for defective part "fuel pump module". Cadillac CTS should be included but complaints need to be filled to generate a revised recall for those that experience this problem of gas vapor smell inside and outside the CTS currently or in the past. This is a costly repair of approximately $1,745. The more complaints they receive the better chance we have of GM revising the Recall to include Cadillac CTS. Incident occurred at mileage 73,231. You will receive a case number from each organization for you to retain in case the recall is revised to notify you for possible reimbursement.

CTS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I have a 2008 cts Cadillac V6-3.6L,that just turned 40K,and after filling it up with gas and detailing it out placing it in the garage came back out to get something out of it and begin to smell gas real heavy from the back of the car started investigating the problem, found gas on the passenger side gas tank underneath the car, so I went to get the car oil changed and tire rotation also topping off all fluids, I asked the mechanic do you smell gas as well he said yes he do, less take a look see where it maybe coming from, maybe from the top of the fuel tank or fuel pump that is located in the tank or the lines, this is a very serious problem and you must get it fixed soon. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY CALL BACKS FROM THE CADILLAC HOUSE Or GOVERNMENT ON THIS PROBLEM THIS CAN KILL OF INSURER SOMEONE,THE TANK OR FUEL PUMP AND LINES OR POORLY MADED BY THE FACTORY WITH CHEAPER MATERIALS AND SHOULD BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGER AND WARRANTY BY THEM.
