We were leaving my son's apartment when we hit the speed bump at about 5 miles an hour the air bags deployed and busted out our wind shield and filled the car with smoke. My fianc was driving the car and had his thumb hurt. Several of the electrical things in the car do not work now.

Recall 00 V 217 000/ air bag side impact sensor module: Unable to get dealer michael hohl GMC; carson city, nv; phone# 775/883-5777 to honor manufacturer's recall. Dealer was contacted on several occasions, and still was unable to get recall resolved. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.

Vehicle was part of a manufacturer's recall for air bag module. Consumer took vehicle into dealer, and dealer has changed module three times already, and problem still occurs. Only thing dealer advised consumer was to keep bringing vehicle to dealer until they can fix problem.

Pasenger side air bag deployed. Random deployment. No crash involved. Manufacturer will not divulge why this happened. Have attempted to gain information but refused by manufacturer. Concerned that a random deployment of driver side air bag at highway speed could cause accident.
