My timing chain failed at 70,000ml, there is a sb-10043857-3386 bulletin no:11340B :date:July 2012 that should cover my vehicle for free timing chain replacement. GM does not want to honor the repair even though they have issued this sb. Please help. My vehicle is manufactured in 2009 in Mexico (date on door tag) and it should be part of this recall. Please help.
The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Srx. While driving at 30 mph, the "reduce engine speed" warning message illuminated which caused the vehicle to decelerate to 5 mph on the highway. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,073.
The car serge's all the time, the motor sounds like a diesel when you start it for about 10 seconds then goes away. Had the oil changed and did everything I and the mechanics could do and it is still there. The key keeps getting stuck and hard to start. This Cadillac Srx only has 82K miles and this has been going on for over 25K miles. Guess I just never need to by a Cadillac again.
