The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. The contact was driving approximately 2 mph when he applied the brakes, the vehicle surged forward until crashing into another vehicle. The contact suffered injuries and was undergoing physical therapy for treatment. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop, but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was repaired for the body damages. The contact also stated that the failure occurred on a few occasions prior to the crash. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but had not responded. The failure mileage was 5,700. Updated 6/25/12 the consumer also stated the seat failed to properly restrain him. The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while attempting to park with the brakes depressed, the vehicle abnormally accelerated and caused the contact to crash into two parked vehicles. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who performed a diagnostic and was unable to locate a failure code. The vehicle was also test driven but the failure did not recreate. The front end of the vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 4,000 and the current mileage was 57,000. The consumer also stated the seat belt didn't hold him in place. Updated 08/12/11.
