I have taken the vehicle in for repairs 5 times. The engine stalls, the steering locks, and it won't restart. This has happened 5 times since June 9, 2022. It is extremely dangerous as it has stopped dead in the middle of a highway. The initial repair was an update of the DTCs relating to the hybrid engine. I paid $225 at the time. The same problem occurred on 4 subsequent occasions. The second time I was told I needed a new electric battery and paid $430. The third time, I was left without a vehicle for 13 days.

The Chrysler dealership told me it didn't know how to fix the problem. I was not charged but the vehicle had the same problem 3 days later. On the 4th return, I was advised that the car needed a new shifter module which was still under warranty. The warranty deductible was $200. After receiving the vehicle back from the dealership on August 11, 2022, the car again stalled again on August 14th, and I returned to the Chrysler repair facility. Since that time, I have heard nothing except that I would be provided with a loaner when was available, That was on August 18th. I have not spoken or been contacted by anyone since then. There is a class action lawsuit involving this vehicle in U.S Federal Court which I will apparently have to join. In the meantime, I need to purchase or lease a new vehicle.

Update from Aug 20, 2022: Car stalled on highway on June 9, 2022. The engine stopped and could not be restarted. The steering also locked up.

Update from Aug 20, 2022: On June 23, 2022, the car engine stalled and could not be restarted while driving on the highway, The steering locked so I could not move the vehicle out of the road.

Update from Aug 20, 2022: On July 12, 2022, the car engine stalled and could not be restarted while driving on the highway, The steering locked so I could not move the vehicle out of the road. The vehicle was kept at the repair facility until July 28, 2022.

Update from Aug 20, 2022: On August 1, 2022, the car engine stalled and could not be restarted while driving on the highway, The steering locked so I could not move the vehicle out of the road. The car was not returned by the Chrysler facility until August 11, 2022.

Twice now our hybrid van has shut down while driving on the highway. It is a very scary experience as the car was both times at highway speed and it just turns off. This is while the car is operating on gasoline and there is no warning at all. The dealership is now being helpful but on the first incident the dealer said we were doing something wrong and not charging it correctly. It took a lot for us to convince them that there is something wrong with the car but they still haven't repaired it and it has been at the shop for over a month! Hopefully someone will figure out what makes the car shut off!? It really takes the fun out of driving!
