Driving our only vehicle to pick our daughter up at school and accelerated across an intersection when the car simply decelerated... pulled over... tried shifting gears... no response. Engine seems fine but transmission is not responding at all. No noises before it happened... nothing... no warning and now we are car-less
Update from Feb 7, 2017: Found out the transmission failed. Turns out this was the second transmission put in the car and the CVT transmissions overall have a high failure rate with little or no warning. Will never purchase another vehicle with that type of transmission. Ended up selling the car for junk as to replace the transmission would have been a minimum of 3 grand and would most likely only last appx 30k miles. Crazy! Along with all the electronic issues and the wiring harness recall which they don't have a fix for (which was probably causing most if not all of the electronic issues) I've decided to stay away from Dodges completely.
