Chrylser 'declines to participate with any costs assciated with this incident. Their official letter noted problem with 'ignition switch' but all systems were found to be working properly.
Still waiting on warrantied Shifter assembly and cable. Car at dealership 3rd week now.
'Roll away' is the new tem for this on other recalls. Rolled off blacktop and 40' into back yard forest.

Roll away car - defective shifter still under warranty. The agent at Dodge 1-800 number gave me a case number and said take it to dealership. An 'Independent inspector' would look at vehicle and send a report to Chrysler case manager in 'Special Investigations'.
Manufacturer was a total brick wall on trying to get any response while driving giant gas hog Town and Country rental car provided by dealer. I may get billed for portion of rental, Chrysler never responded to this.
It took 3 days to get roll away car back up hill thru steep hill forest. Chrylser has now paid for gear shifter assembly and cable replacement and declines to 'participate in costs associated with this incident' = $500 spent and $5,000 body damage estimate in hand.
Investigator admitted she has no mechanical or legal knowledge about case and made decision based on independent investigator's report. I cannot get copy of report and defective part had to go back to manufacturer.
Dealership tried many times to reach Chrysler also. They're fine. Expect recall on Dodge 2012 Caliber and will continue to seek compensation in the meantime.
