The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that there was an abnormal odor detected around the passenger side of the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the auxiliary fuel pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. The contact called quirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of bangor (07 hogan rd, bangor, me 04401, (207) 945-9458), darling's Chevrolet (21 downeast hwy, ellsworth, me 04605, (866) 575-2434), and charlie's Chevrolet (1412 us-202, winthrop, me 04364, (207) 377-2236). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 121,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that there was a strong odor of fuel outside and inside the vehicle, but no presence of an external leak. The dealer (benson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 400 w wade hampton blvd, greer, SC 29650, (864) 877-0161) diagnosed that both fuel pumps needed to be replaced after inspecting that there was a crack on one of the two fuel pumps. The dealer also informed the contact that the rear seat padding was saturated with fuel, which leaked into the rear interior of the vehicle. The dealer replaced the driver and passenger side fuel pumps. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. Consumer stated car was repaired but still had a strong gas odor. Updated 11/20/18
2011 Dodge Charger. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle potentially catching fire due to a radiator problem and Chrysler refuses to provide any details. The consumer also stated a few days after purchasing the vehicle, the fuel pump and computer system had to be replaced. Updated 01/06/12. Updated 02/03/12. Updated 04/12/12. Updated 04/24/12.
2011 Dodge Charger. Consumer writes in regards to L10 coolant reservoir recall the consumer stated while on the way to the dealership to have the recalls rectified, one involving a computer system issue to prevent a potential safety operational hazard, the check engine light illuminated. A diagnosis revealed the fuel pump needed to be replaced. Updated 11/22/11.
